After working for two seasons with a carbon dioxide absorber installed by ISOFRED, Girona Fruits decided to take the plunge. They expanded their installations, which consists of 17 rooms which hold 4 million kg of apples through a dynamic atmosphere ILOS PLUS system. By implementing this system, they have attained optimal preservation conditions for their products. They are also eliminating the pesticide product baths and they are cutting costs for the producer. This process uses an absorber with oxygen consumption and a PSA nitrogen generator.
